Stanislaw Waskiewicz, 65, of Streamwood since 1987, died Friday, September 28, 2012. Born September 9, 1947 in Poland. He was the son of Anthony and Waclawa Waskiewicz. A former member of the Polish Running Team and gold medal winner in the European Championship. Stanislaw also enjoyed cooking and politics. Survivors include wife Maria (nee Szaleniec)and children Christopher and Monika.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Miroslaw. Visitation Monday, October 1, 2012 from 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Road), Bartlett. Funeral Tuesday 8:45a.m to St. John the Evangelist Church. Mass 9:30a.m. Interment East Dundee cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
