Sr. Rita Malachinski

Sr Rita Marie Malachinski, 89, SSJ-TOSF for 73 years, died Sunday, December 8, 2024. She was born December 20, 1934, as Dolores T. Malachinski in Chicago. From the beginning education was very important to Sr Rita having accomplish her master’s in education in both special education and Administration and Supervision. Throughout her life she was both a teacher and principal in Illinois and Indiana and founded the Bartlett Learning Center. Beloved daughter of the late Andrew and Genevieve (nee Gorecki) Malachinski; loving sister of Geraldine Andrews, Patricia (Warren) Verhoeve, and the late Andrew, Norbert, Richard Malachinski and Mary Ann Verhoeve; kind sister-in-law to Robert Verhoeve the late Henry Andrews; and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation 9:00am until time of Mass 10:30am with the Divine Mercy Chaplet to be said at 10:00am at The Oaks Sacred Heart Chapel, 825 Carillon Dr, Bartlett. Interment St, Michael the Archangel Cemetery. Memorials to the Sister’s of St. Joseph Third Order of St. Francis, PO Box 305, Stevens Point, WI 54481-0305 would be appreciated.
