Sophie Liebmann

Sophie Liebmann, 78 of Bloomingdale; loving wife for 60 years of the Andreas; dear mom of Andy (Julie), Linda ( Michael) Schmehil and Christina (Christopher) Kilian; cherished Oma of Brian Schmehil, Christopher (Devika Malhotra), Ashley (Jeffrey) Garibay, Nicole Liebmann, Andrew Liebmann, Morgan Kilian, Vanessa Kilian and Brooke Kilian; devoted great Oma of Audrey Liebmann, Kassidy Hanley and Caroline Garibay. Sophie is survived by a sister. Sophie was born in Yugoslavia on February 14, 1942. She came to the United States of America at the very young age of 14. She was always extremely proud of being a U.S. citizen. In retirement she enjoyed gardening, canasta, penny slots and baking. However, the thing which brought her the most joy was being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial visitation, to celbrate the life of a wonderful woman, will be held Friday, August 28th, from 3:00 pm until the time of her service 7:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S.
