Skip Aykroid

Earl "Skip" James Aykroid passed away peacefully October 18, 2022. Skip was the beloved husband of Barbara (nee Kent) for 29 years; loving father of Matt (Sandy), Brian (Lora) and Scott (Morgan) Aykroid, Michael (Jamie) and Erik (Julie) Schumann; proud grandfather of Casey (Tim) Madison, Cole, Madison Rose, Taylor, Daniel, Cheyenne, Nolan, Riley, Piper, Addyson, Bailey, Blake, Tyler, Zachary, Madison, Savannah, Briella and Evelyn; dear great grandfather of Lennox and Dawson; nephew Daniel Fogel. Skip enjoyed golf, making people laugh with his witty jokes, spending time with family and friends and enjoyed the outdoors at their property in Michigan. He was a Navy Veteran having served our country in the Vietnam war.

Memorial visitation Sunday October 30, 2:00pm until time of memorial service 6:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett. Cremation was private at Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers donations to Lifeline for Vets https://nvf.org/veterans-memorials-dedications/ would be appreciated.
