Fr. Simon Singh was born July 4th, 1950, to Rev. Khushal Singh and wife, Indira Singh, in Allahabad, UP, India. Out of five children, Simon was the only son. At the age of 16, Simon's father passed away. Before his passing, his father told him to take up his pastor's bag, which Simon did.
He entered his training at Allahabad Bible Seminary, graduating in 1973. He was then ordained a minister in the Church of North India. Simon pastored many churches in India before emigrating to the US. He emigrated to provide his family a better future, but always felt it was God's calling for him to preach.
While preaching on one occasion, he met a listener, Mr. Anand Singh, who was looking for a new church to be established for the Hindi speaking community. Working together, they founded First Asian Church, which Simon faithfully pastored from 1988 to 2022.
Simon is survived by his wife, Deepa Singh, daughter Yachna Sarah Kaul (husband Vijay Kaul), son Rohit Samuel Singh (wife Arpita Singh), daughter Meghna Sheeba Singh-Thomas (husband Liju Thomas), and son Mohit Shalom Singh (wife Shefali Singh). Simon also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Jonah Kaul, Jude Kaul, Shania Thomas and Sidney Thomas.
