Shirley Marie Cooke, nee Cahill, 96, of Medinah, loving and devoted wife of 56 years to the late William; dear mother of Mike (Carrie), Mary Ellen, Patty (Rick) Jordan and Daniel (Erin); proud grandmother of Ryan (Colleen), Jared, Claire, Johnny, Brenna, Ellie and William; cherished great grandmother of Lucia and loving sister of the late Lois (John), Robert (Sally), Patricia (Clarke). She was an adored aunt to many nieces and nephews. Shirley loved life and had a great wit and sense of humor. She was a voracious reader. She also loved to garden, take daily walks, golf and enjoyed going out to dinner with family and friends..

Funeral mass 11:00 am Friday, August 5th, at St. Walter Church 130 W. Pine St. Roselle, Il. Burial St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Alzheimer's Association or Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) would be appreciated.
