Shirley Connolley

Shirley E. "Shirl" Connolley (nee Lang), 84 of Elgin, formerly of Roselle and Bartlett, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023. Shirley took great pride in playing in the neighborhood card club, especially Canasta. Beloved wife of 65 years to Robert "Bud"; loving mother of Sherri "Cheryl" (Keith) Johnson, Rick "Robert" Connolley, Karen Connolley, and Kelley (Justin) Thomas; cherished grandmother of Kyle Johnson, Valerie (Kyle) Fowler, Brittany (fiance Wyatt Svedin) Thomas, Melanie (fiance Alexis Noriega) Thomas, and Austin Thomas; proud great grandmother of Brynlee and Colton; adoring sister of Gail VanGotham, the late Louise (Jim) Derbick, the late Jeanette (John) Dobbs, the late Orville Lang, and the late Patsy Figuera; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews; dear sister in law of Richard (Christine) Connolley. Visitation Sunday, January 15 from 12:00pm until time of memorial service 2:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett.
