Services for Shirley Noreen Blanck nee Goetz of Schaumburg, formerly of Elmwood Park, Chicago, Bensenville, Sylvan Lake Mundelein and Pinellas Park, FL will be private.

Shirley is the beloved wife of the late Raymond Blanck; loving mother of Dorothy Dierking (life partner Richard Dahl); fond mother in law of the late Jim Dierking; stepmother of Joan (Dave) McCreary and Gary (Shan) Blanck; cherished grandmother of Kerri Dierking, Jim (fiance Jamie Delle Grazie) Dierking, Denise (Don) Pokorny, Eric Blanck and Joy McCreary; proud great grandmother of Maxwell, Benjamin, Alex, Tyler and Joey; dear sister of Ken (Lucy) Goetz, Jan (John) Soderholm and the late Bernice (the late Bob) Freeburg; she will be missed by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Shirley was an avid sewer. She had made all types of doll clothes, ranging from gowns, clothes for Barbie and Ken and much more. As a talented crafter Shirley enjoyed cross stich, scrapbooking, making costumes and quilts. She even built various dioramas. Shirley played the organ and piano. Her favorite tv shows were NCIS and Star Trek.
