Shirley “Shirl” Alberts, 83, of Schaumburg since 1972, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025. Born September 13, 1941, in Chicago. Shirl was a huge advocate for recycling. She enjoyed traveling the world and playing a good game of Sudoku. She will be missed. Beloved wife of 60 years to Frank Alberts; beloved mom of Mark (Mary) and the late Eric Alberts; cherished grandma of Jonathan (Sofia) and twins Loren (fiancé Davis Pasco) and Jenelle; dear daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (nee Kobrys) Musial; kind sister of the late Ronald and sister-in-law Dorothy Musial and loving aunt of Jeff and the late Mike (Betty). Visitation 9:00am until time of service 11:00am on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 S Greenmeadows Blvd, Streamwood. Following the services cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
