Sheldon Schwerdtmann, of Schaumburg; beloved husband of Nancy nee Dunwoody; loving father of David (Chris), Dan (Joanne), Gary, Glen (Amalia), and Janet (Doug) Lyjak; devoted grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 10; cherished brother of Ranny (the late Kate).
Sheldon was employed by Illinois Bell for 37 years. A veteran of the US Army, he loved bowling, golfing, bingo, traveling and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Visitation Sunday, September 14 3:00-8:00pm at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.), Streamwood/Schaumburg. Monday, September 15, visitation 10:00am until time of service 11:00am Immanuel United Church of Christ, 1500 Old Church Rd., Streamwood.
