Sharon L. Wallace (nee Steelman), 71, of Elgin, died Saturday, November 11, 2017. Born April 26, 1946 in Detroit, MI. Beloved wife of 43 years to Roman; loving mom of Michelle Sheeks (Jamie) and Michael Calame (deceased); cherished grandma to Rielly and Jake.
Sharon worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elgin in the pharmacy for over 20 years. She was a hard-worker who made many friends there. Her greatest joys in life were her two grandchildren, Rielly and Jake. She was there the moment they came into this world and created many memories with them. Sharon will be remembered as a fun and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, from 10 am to 12 pm with a service immediately following at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 S. Greenmeadows Blvd. in Streamwood. Burial to take place afterwards at Lakewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be sent to support the victims of the recent church shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas.
