Sharon Sauceda

Sharon Sauceda (nee Harms) of Bartlett for 48 years; beloved wife of 49 years to Art; loving mother of Lisa (Joe) Busto and Eric (Nicole); cherished grandmother of Luke, Blake, Cameron, Ryan, Carson, Cade, Zachary and Paige; dear sister of Rod (Joanne) Harms and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Sharon is proceeded in death by her parents Richard and Marcella Harms and her sister Judy Bulger.

Sharon was a 1958 graduate of St. Edward High School and a 1962 graduate of Illinois State. She retired after 31 years of teaching in U-46 spending most of her career at Heritage Elementary in Streamwood and also taught in the YMCA Tiny Tots program. She received a Walmart teacher of the year award. She was involved in many philanthropic causes. She was past president of St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary, chairperson of the St. Joseph Hospital style show, past president of St. Joseph Church parish council, board member of St. Edward High School Foundation, board member of Club Guadalupano, a volunteer for Centro de Informacion and taught faith formation at Resurrection Catholic Church. She was devoted to and loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Visitation Tuesday, January 6th, 2015 at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd., (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett from 3:00pm - 9:00pm. Funeral Wednesday 9:15 a.m. to Resurrection Church. Mass 10:00 a.m. Burial Bartlett Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Edward High School Scholarship Fund, 335 Locust St., Elgin Il 60123.
