Sharon Marie Arnt, 68, of Bartlett, Illinois, passed away after a long battle with cancer shortly before midnight on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Sharon was born in Elmhurst, Illinois, the daughter of Earl and Bernice Haley (Stancikas).
Sharon received diplomas from Glenbard East High School and House of Beauty Culture, then went on to Elgin Community College and Judson University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems.
Sharon married Donald William Arnt on October 2, 1976 at Evangelical Free Church in Itasca, Illinois. October 2, 2025 would have been their 49 th wedding anniversary. She is survived by her children: Lisa (Gregory), Tina (Daniel) and Brianna (Michael).
Sharon was self-employed as a cosmetologist, and an administrator at: Fox Valley Auto Parts, Bartlett Park District, Bartlett Baptist Church, Canon, Maytag, Judson University, and Elgin Community College. She retired in 2016.
One of her greatest joys in life was being a mother. Sharon also loved animals, the outdoors, arts and crafts, and children’s ministries at church. She was a member of the Village Church of Bartlett.
Sharon is also survived by her brother, Ron (Mary); nephews, Patrick, Dale (Rebecca), and Brian; and nieces, Jill (Craig), Erica (Jimmy), and Brittany (Chris); great-nephews, Connor, Cole, Logan, and Aiden; and great-nieces, Emmy and Bailey.
Preceding Sharon in death are her parents, Earl and Bernice, and her brother, Brian.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at the Village Church of Bartlett, 601 W. Bartlett Road, Bartlett, Illinois on Saturday, August 23, 2025. There will be an open house from 10:00 – 11:00, and a service from 11:00 – 12:00.
