Scott Szczurek

Scott Samuel Szczurek, 43, died May 18, 2019. Scott was the cherished son of Mary Cierniak and Leon (Melinda) Brent (Szczurek); beloved brother of Laura Burton; dear cousin of Tracy Bartlett who cared for him; loving nephew of Pat (Dan) Karpes, Vicki Schimanski, Jeannette (Jim) Bartlett, Stanley (Tammy) Tarsa, Bridget (Lee) Dietz, Cindy (Joe) Werba; Scott will be missed by many other cousins, family and friends.
Scott was a Star Wars fan, he enjoyed role playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons, Rifts, Robotech and Warhammer 40K. He liked to read sci-fi books, and play video games such as Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct. Scott also liked bowling, he was on a bowling league.

Visitation Saturday, June 1, 3:00pm - 9:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S. Roselle Road (1/2 mile south of Irving Park Road) Roselle. Following services cremation will be private at Countryside Crematory. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019 10:00a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church 545 S. Ardmore Villa Park, IL.
