Sara Elizabeth Leesman nee Johnson was born March 24, 1958 in Rockford, Illinois. Daughter of Phillip Edward Boise Johnson and Elizabeth Belle Johnson nee McClelland.
Sara is survived by her loving husband, Robert E. Leesman, whom she married December 22, 1982; brother Steven (Jessica) of Chicago, David (Christine) of Palmetto, FL, Curtis of East Calais, VT, sisters Rhonda of Colorado Springs, CO and Martha (Robert) O'Connor of Colorado Springs, CO., sister-in-law of Bonnie Johnson of Hudson, FL, widow of her brother Phillip and Chris Geric (David) Johnson of Palmetto, FL, aunt of Phillip Johnson of Nashville, TN, Kathy (Minette Joy Caperidor) Johnson of Arlington, VA, Clare Johnson of San Francisco, CA, McClelland "Mac" (Jordon Moses) Johnson of New York, NY, Charles Johnson of Plano, TX, Drew (Michael) Pucci of New York, NY and Christine O'Connor of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother Phillip of Rockford, IL.
Sara graduated from East High School, Rockford, IL in 1976 and MacMurray College Jacksonville in 1980.
Retired from Corkill Insurance as a Senior Claims Manager. Sara was a Claims Service Consultant for Hartford Insurance, Lake Mary, FL, Vice President Claims Manager - Hub International, Chicago, IL and Claims Manager - JMB Realty, Chicago, IL.
Sara enjoyed traveling, cooking, sailing and was an avid reader. She was a cellist first chair in high school and college. She enjoyed the big family reunions in Bok Tower, FL, Orlando, FL, Montpiler, VT and Kingston, Jamaica with her large extended family.
She was loved by all and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
