Sandy K. Smith, nee Ping of Hampshire and formerly of Bartlett, 74; wife of Charlie E., mom of Cheryl (Mike) Warmus and Scott (Catherine) Smith; nana of Kylie (fiance Devin Hanks), Delaney, Madyson, Jake, Cara, Jena and Maxwell; sister of Jean Ann Ping (Jay Rowe); sister in law of Judy (Don) Bishop; daughter of the late Basil and Jane Ping, nee Humbracht.
 
 She went to all the grand kids school activities and sporting events. Even when she couldn’t walk she would sit in the truck with dad.
 
 She loved taking long rides country roads while listening to country music with dad.
 
 She loved to decorate the house for every holiday.
 
 The Smith Farm was a place to gather on X mas morning with friends and family where she would help cook( or direct from her kitchen stool) a big country breakfast with dad.
 
 She loved to go antiquing, Friday Fish Fries and pizza with the kids and grand kids.
 
 She was the “banker” for the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the farm.
 
 She loved Diet Coke from McDonald’s and old fashion hard candies and had peanut butter crackers in her purse at all time.
 
 She never missed sending a personalized birthday card & holiday cards to everyone in the family.
 
 Her Humbracht family history is rooted in Bartlett.
 
 Funeral Friday will be private.  Interment Bartlett Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to Immanuel United Church of Christ 415 W North Ave, Bartlett.
