Sandra Marella

Sandra Lee Marella, 75 of Schaumburg, IL passed away peacefully on 2/10/2023, surrounded by family.

Sandra was born in Ironwood, MI and moved to Chicago in the 1950’s.

She was a very proud loving Mother to her 3 children. Jon Zilske (Connie Westlake), Lora (David) Wilkozek, and her late son Mark Zilske. Cherished Grandmother to Justin Wilkozek.

She loved her extended family, including her 2 sisters, brothers-in-law, her nephews and nieces as well as a great nephew and niece. She also had many cousins that she loved keeping in touch with.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Nancy Marella.

One of her favorite hobbies was Genealogy and keeping up with her large extended family and its origins. She loved exploring her family’s history and sharing her discoveries along the way.

Sandra had many dear friends that she enjoyed talking with and playing games with. She cherished the time she had with family and friends.

She was very loved and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Friday, February 17, 3:00pm - 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 S. Roselle Road (1/2 mile South of Irving Park Road) Roselle. A prayer service will be held at 7:00pm. Cremation will be private at Countryside Crematory.
