Sandra Gilbert

Sandra T. Gilbert (nee Piedmont), 77, loving mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend from Bartlett, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021. Sandra was born in 1943 to Rudolph and Dorothy Piedmont in Chicago, IL. Beloved mother of David (Kelly); proud grandmother of Ryan and Grace Gilbert; fond sister of Helen (Peter) Cunningham, loving aunt of Michael, Karen, and the late Peter; dear cousin of many. Sandra loved spending time with her family, including her dear companion Arnold "Arnie" Krause as well as Arnie's daughters Kelly and Marne and all their grandchildren. Her friendships, originating from raising children, work with James Ryan, DDS, and her faith were what brought continued joy to her life. Visitation Tuesday, January 12 from 11:00am until time of service 1:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett.
