Sandra Ayyad

Sandra J. "Sandy" Ayyad (nee Vedder), 75, of Palatine, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023 with her family at her side. Known as a champion for liberal causes, Sandy enjoyed the outdoors, going to the beach, and gardening, but especially spending time with her grandchildren. Beloved mother of Kim (Dan) Bramblett and Jamal (Brook) Ayyad; proud grandmother of Jessica and Michaela Brown, Ethan Bramblett, and Leila and Audrey Ayyad; dear sister of Karen Vedder, Diane Saum, Janice (Don) Boylan, Fred Vedder, and the late John Vedder; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Cremation was private at Countryside Crematory.
