Funeral services for Ruth Elizabeth Weir nee Oberding of Streamwood since 1959 will be held Tuesday 11:00a.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Following services cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
Visitation will be held Monday 3:00 – 9:00p.m. at the funeral home.
Born March 10, 1926 in Chicago, Ruth died December 17, 2009 in Hoffman Estates.
Longtime member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Streamwood, she was also a member of Hanover Township Park District Senior’s Center. Ruth enjoyed taking trips and loved traveling to Las Vegas.
She is the beloved wife of 53 years of the late James Patrick; loving mother of Victoria Juchcinski of Woodstock and James Weir of Carpentersville; cherished grandmother of Theodore Patrick and Andrew Read Juchcinski, Shannon Elizabeth (Erik) Thornhill and Erin Patricia Weir; proud great-grandmother of Josephine and Tyler Thornhill.
