She went home on August 24, 2008 in Elk Grove Village.
Loving mother of Wayne R. (Carol) and Alaine R. (Thomas) Hanson.
Proud Grandmother of Denise R. Schichner, Julie L. Hough, Charles A. all of Streamwood, Debbie Lueck of Wood Dale.
Cherished Great Grandmother of Dennis J. Schichner of Streamwood.
Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: William, Harry and George and 4 sisters Amanda, Eleanor, Josephine and Gertrude and a son in law Denny E. Hough.
Ruth was born in Chicago on October 28, 1912 the daughter of Harry J. and Josephine Newberg nee Roehrig.
She was an employee of Aldens, Inc. and Teamster Union 743 until her retirement. She was a former member of the Streamwood Golden Agers and Advent Lutheran Church in Streamwood. She enjoyed sewing, reading and crossword puzzles. Visitation Thursday 9:00 A.M. until the time of her service at 11:30 A.M. @ Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.)
