Russell Sutherland

Russell E. Sutherland, 62, of Elgin passed away at home surrounded by his family March 31, 2014. Russell was the beloved husband of Dawn (nee Steinke) for 33 years; loving father of Courtney, Marty, Brian (Nora), and Christopher (Nicki) Sutherland; proud grandfather of Dalton, Jackson, and Rylen Sutherland; cherished son of Maryanne and the late Russell Sutherland; fond brother of Janet (Bart) DeKom and David (Pam) Sutherland. Russell will also be missed by his friends Bill Schmid, the Culver, Bartosik, and Pope families. Russell was a Vietnam Army veteran; frequented rock concerts;was a diehard fan of Ohio State University and Cleveland sports. He was also a member of the Windy City Browns Backers.
