He is the cherished son of James and Elfrida Mengler nee Hoeske; beloved brother of Sherry (Carl) Draeger, Douglas (Cathy) Mengler and Julie Severson; loving uncle of Randall and Carlie Draeger, Brandon Mengler, Eric and Justin Severson.
Russell will also be missed by his rescue dogs "Maggie" and "Suzie". Arrangements by Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory (847) 289-8054.
