Visitation for Russell J. Lettenberger of Valders, WI, formerly of Wood Dale, IL will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 4:00 – 8:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Memorial Service 6:00p.m.
He is survived by his wife Erin nee Ostrander; daughters Heidi (Randy) Henson and Amy (fiancé Ryan McCombs) Lettenberger; grandchildren Carly and R.J. Henson; brothers Brian (Gloria), Gerard (Cindy) and Kory (Mary); sisters Lynn (Eric) Tuori and Lisa (Tony) Ciarrachi; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Born September 16, 1955 in Manitowoc, WI, the oldest son of Delmar and Selvina Lettenberger, Russell died Friday, March 15, 2024. He married his High School sweetheart November 21, 1975 and raised his family in Wood Dale, IL. He spent most of his working days as an over the road Truck Driver, boasting over 1 million miles traveled with no accidents. Russell got to see some of the most beautiful parts of this country, enjoying mostly coming home to “his girls”.
His family was very important to him. He would always be there to share his knowledge about driving, canning, cooking, hunting, fishing, camping and all of his favorite hobbies. He also loved to read and write short stories as well as speak about his many adventures. Russell was most proud of his daughters and his grandchildren. Information (630) 289-7575.
