He is survived by his partner of 40 years Norma; loving father to Roderick (Sadaf) Subijano, Rodelio (Mylene) Subijano, Lilibeth (Edwin) Batacan, Rudy Jr. (Aminta Carrillo) Subijano, Michael Subijano, Jaynard (Candice) Subijano and Andymar (Ana) Subijano. Rudy is a cherished Lolo to Sean Christopher, Hana, Oliver, Nathan, Amara, Mico, Mica, Andrei, Andrew, Emir and Colette and great-lolo to Zachary James. He is a devoted, loyal and caring brother to Rolando (Edwina) Subijano, Aida Veluz, Florida (Danilo) Castillo, Renato (Ofelia) Subijano, and Reynaldo (Merle) Subijano and loved his family more than anything.
Rudy took a chance and pursued the American Dream for a better opportunity for himself and his family and embraced his adopted hometown of Chicago, IL and the suburbs. But he also never forgot where he came from in his humble beginnings of his birthplace of Laguna, Philippines. He loved to travel there any chance he can get to be with the family, people, and the familiar food and culture he grew up and cherished. Whether in America or the Philippines, Udy, as they called him, always cooked some of the best Filipino food and was never shy to karaoke a tune or two from Humperdinck or Sinatra.
