Ruben Reyna

Ruben Reyna, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on December 15, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on March 14, 1952, his life was marked by love, dedication, and a remarkable spirit that touched all who knew him.

Ruben is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Sophia, and his cherished children: Ruben Jr. (Kelli Gregory), Gilberto (Yvette), Juan (Christina), Daniel, Lauren (Alex Perez), and Megan (Frank) Sanders. He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren, each of whom was a great source of joy in his life. He also leaves behind his siblings, Rene (Maria) Reyna and Rosalinda (Jose) Zavela.

Preceding Ruben in death were his beloved parents, Rosendo and Juanita and his brother Rosendo Jr.(Diana) who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.

Ruben had a passion for watching the Dallas Cowboys, a pastime that brought him much happiness over the years. His enthusiasm for sports was one of many ways he connected with friends and family, creating countless memories that will be cherished forever.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory of Roselle, Roselle, Illinois, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
