Roy Murray, Jr., 90, died February 18, 2013 in Mississippi. Visitation will be Friday, Februay 22, 2013 from 6:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. at Calvary United Petecostal Church, 19W701 Army Trail Rd, Addison. Funeral Saturday, 10:00a.m. at the church. Interment Elm Lawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Murray was born on April 10, 1922, in Roberts, KY; the son of the Late Roy Murray, Sr. and Lillian Koonce Murray. He retired in 1987 after 42 years from Groen where he worked as a polisher and grinder. Mr. Murray loved the word of God and always enjoyed talking to people and sharing his faith with others. He was a member of Canaan Apostolic Church in Roselle, IL. He was always active and loved being outside. He was also an avid coin collector. In 2012, Mr. and Mrs. Murray moved to Ridgeland, Mississippi.
He will be most remembered as a loving husband, a cherished father and a beloved grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Nell Murray of Ridgeland; son, Richard Clay Murray of Jackson; son, Maurice Wayne Murray of Addison, IL; daughter, Alice Faye Meredith of Rogers, AR; son, Randal L. Murray of Madison; daughter, Donna Marie White of Ridgeland; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
