Roy Damer

Roy F. Damer, 91, formerly of Des Plaines (1964-2021); devoted husband for 63 wonderful years of the late Marlene; beloved father of Adele (Larry) Pikora and Rod (Eulogia) Damer; cherished grandfather of Stephanie Reid, Joshua (Shanna) Pikora, Joel (Holly) Pikora and Carl Reid; dear great grandfather of Noelle Apps and Aria Pikora and fond brother of the late Amelia (late Earl) Herigodt. Roy covered college football, college basketball and local golf for the Chicago Tribune Sports Dept. for 31 years.  He enjoyed family vacations, fishing in the northern woods and any kind of cold beer. Memorial gathering Sunday, February 11th, memorial service 1:00 pm at Saint Mark Lutheran Church 200 S.
