Roy Brammer

March 23, 1939 — November 8, 2012

Roy P. Brammer was born in Elgin, Illinois with his twin brother Ray E. on March 23, 1939. He graduated from Central High School in 1957 at Burlington, Illinois. In 1962 on November 19, he enlisted in the US Air Force. He served 4 years; most of the time was spent in France. On August 8, 1972, he wed Irene Parker. In July 1977, he started working for Swift Brown & Serve at St. Charles, IL. He worked there until May 1944, when he retired. In May 1994, they moved to Mulkeytown, Illinois. In 1997, he took lessons to become a Lay Speaker for the Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother and dad, Raymond Brammer and Leona Brammer. His wife Irene of 36 years who passed away on March 2, 2008. Survived by 3 brothers: Richard & Carol Brammer of MI, Leonard & Ruth Brammer of Elgin, IL and Ray E. Brammer of South Elgin IL; many nieces and nephews and a very good friend Pearl Mitchell of Christopher.
Memorial service Saturday November 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church 200 Dean St. Royalton IL. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donation to the United Methodist Church in Royalton IL.
