Ross Carlstan Figved

Ross Carlstan Figved, 44, of Barrington, Illinois passed away July 24, 2024. He was born in Lake Forest, Illinois on September 25,1979 to Steven and Deborah (Goetz) Figved. He was known by his friends as being very caring, fun loving, enjoying cooking, and his vast knowledge of music and sound.

Ross will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and help to others, his gorgeous curly hair, love and care of dogs in his home, and mostly for his dedication to his love of music. He studied Sound Engineering at Columbia University, Chicago; and Full Sail University, Florida. He held various positions in technology in rebuilding computers and sound systems, system design and sales, lighting design, and as sound engineer for several clubs, touring, and shows in Chicago. He also loved web design and graphics to add to his music recordings.

He is survived by his mother, Deborah Figved (Albuquerque, New Mexico); wife, Melissa Chambers (Chicago); sister Kristin Jefferson-Wink and Tommy (Allen, Texas); uncle Thom and Janice Goetz (Morris, IL); uncle Richard and Debbie Figved (Albuquerque, New Mexico); nieces (Lindsay (Noah Yeamans), Brooke, Chloe, Lexi); nephew (Nicholas); great-nieces (Hunter and Mia), and many close friends and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Steven Allen Figved (Bartlett, IL); brother, Scott Carlstan Figved (Barrington, IL); grandparents Carl and Helen Goetz (Vinita, OK); Margaret and Stan Figved (Albuquerque, NM).
