Ronald Wright

Ronald "Ron" E. Wright, 68, of Elgin passed away peacefully surrounded by family March 6, 2017. Ron was the beloved husband of Kathleen "Kathy" (nee Lewis); loving father of Christine (Derryl) Barnes, Jeffrey (Derek) Wright, David (Harmony) Wright; proud grandfather of Amanda, Derryl Barnes, Jr., Kristen, Chase, Peyton and Kennedy Wright; cherished son of Guadalupe and the late Raymond Wright, Sr.; dear brother of Raymond Wright, Jr. and Rosemary Wester. Many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

Ron was family oriented, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing cards, puzzles and other games. He was a huge Cubs fan, an original "bleacher bum" and loved to play golf. Ron's family wants to extend their thanks to the amazing doctors and nurses at Loyola University Medical Center for treating Ron for the last 6 years. A special thanks to Dr. Clark and Dr. Melean.

Memorial visitation Friday March 10, 3:00p.m. - 9:00p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 S. Gilbert Street (at State Street) South Elgin. Visitation Saturday 12:30p.m. at St. Thomas More Church 215 Thomas More Drive, Elgin until time of Memorial Mass 1:30p.m. Cremation took place privately at Countryside Crematory. Inurnment will be private at River Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations to Loyola Univeristy Cancer Research www.loyolamedicine.org would be appreciated. Cubs attire is acceptable for the visitation.
