Ronald Marcell

Ronald O. Marcell, Sr., 81, of Glendale Heights died September 19, 2025 at home peacefully with his family.  Ron was the beloved husband of Barb Marcell for 60 years; loving father of Ronald (Blanca) Marcell, Jr., and Don (Lisa) Marcell; proud grandfather of Ronald Marcell III, Karah, Sophia, Stephanie, Thomas and Alexandra; dear brother of Kathy, Betty (Frank), Judy (Ron) , Ken (Nancy), the late Ethel, Jackie, Tom (Rose) and Jim; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Ron was a proud Air Force veteran, Ham Radio Operator and volunteer radio instructor and test administrator. Ron was the Chaplain for the American Legion Post 3, Glen Ellyn, and active member and supporter of the VFW Post #2164, Wheaton. To those that knew Ron he was a good friend, teacher, mentor and for those that really knew him an avid traffic commentator.

The Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, where Ron was a long-time member:

Service will be held on November 1, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church 405 S. Rush St. Roselle, IL. 60172. Visitation at 10:30 AM until time of service at 11:30 AM. Luncheon following service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ron’s name to either Breakfast with Baby, a faith-based group helping mothers in need, which Ron enjoyed volunteering with Our Savior Lutheran Church | DONATE or Trinity Lutheran School Giving - Trinity Lutheran School
