Ronald Phillip Machala, 79, of Winfield, IL passed away on March 28, 2023. Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 53 and a half years Faye and his son and two grandchildren.

Ron was an avid fisherman, he loved being out on his boat rain or shine, and the cold weather did not stop him either. He enjoyed ice fishing just as much. Another of Ron's favorite hobbies was mushrooming. He started going with his mother and he enjoyed it so much that he took a course in college to learn all about the different varieties. Ronald served his country in the Army as a first lieutenant in artillery. He was a graduate of De Paul University for both his Bachelor's of Science and Masters degree, which he used as being an Engineer for over 40 years.
Ron will be missed.
