Ronald Lee Hess II, 40, of Schaumburg, IL, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2022.
Lee was born to Ronald and Martha in Hoffman Estates, IL. After high school, Lee earned a PhD in the School of Life. This education helped shape his worldview and motivated him to succeed. Lee was a successful business owner and father. He was very easygoing, quick to laugh and smile.
People who knew Lee would describe him as loving, generous, and always willing to lend a hand. It was not uncommon for Lee to stop for stranded motorists or neighbors in need of help. He had an inordinate amount of compassion and empathy for others. Lee was determined that loved ones learn from his mistakes so he often shared stories of his own personal struggles to help those in need.
Lee lived with an incredible sense of integrity and had strong political and spiritual beliefs. He was fiercely loyal to his friends and family and unafraid to stand up for what he believed in. At the same time, Lee was a peacemaker and tried very hard to ensure his actions did not harm anyone. He was very motivated to improve his life and the lives of those around him in every way possible.
Lee loved fishing, boating, and camping. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed caring for his plants and garden. He was very appreciative of the simpler things in life. Lee and Melanie often took Camo for walks in the woods where they enjoyed feeding the animals and watching the birds.
Lee was a rabid Chicago Bears fan. During football season, his enthusiasm for the team could be heard for miles around (especially when the Bears were losing.)
He is survived by his long-time partner Melanie Bemben, son Hunter, dog Camo, mother Martha Baker, father Ronald, siblings Peter Coronato, Kelly Bischoffer, Matthew and Paige Hess, stepfather Artell Baker, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
