Rogelio Carig Carbonell was born on October 30, 1935 in Asingan, Pangasinan, Philippines. He leaves behind his lovely wife of 52 years, Isabel, nee Montes; his two beautiful daughters Rovelle C. (Gerard) Tayag and Charyl (Danny) Singson; wonderful grandchildren Kristin C. Tayag, Kyle C. Tayag, Nicole C. Singson & TJ Singson and his brother Rodolfo and sister Ruth HiponiaHe was preceded in death by his parents Felixberto Sr. & Maxima Carbonell, brother Felixberto, Jr. and Basilia Labuca. Rogelio graduate from the Philippines College of Law. He worked very hard his entire life. He worked as a postal inspector in the Philippines, also as a Assistant Director of Board of Pardons & Parole, Department of Justice, Manila, Philippines. He was very proud of his daughters and son in laws who are all successful registered nurses and Kristin, Doctor of Physical therapy & Kyle, BSN Registered Nurse. In retirement he enjoyed traveling & vacationing with family, playing mahjong, poker (“pusoy”) , going to casino, singing karaoke song“My Way”,planting tomatoes & eggplants & most of all, taking care of his grandkids. He was loved and respected by many and will be forever missed.
Visitation Wednesday, July 7th, 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Thursday, July 8th, beginning with prayers at 9:00 am at the funeral home and going to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Mass 10:00 am. Cremation will be private following his funeral mass.
