Roberto Gonzalez

February 9, 1963 — January 1, 2024

Roberto Gonzalez, 60, of Glendale Heights unexpectedly passed away on January 1, 2024. Roberto was the beloved husband of Maria, loving father of Samantha and Sabine; dear brother of Rafael Gonzalez and Paula Gonzalez. Our family was not expecting for Roberto’s life to be cut so short so soon. We are all devastated by this huge loss and he will be forever missed. He was born with a naturally sweet and kind soul, a heart of gold, a big smile for everyone he met and was always a joy to be around.

Roberto great sense of humor filled many hearts with joy and laughter. His pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met. He could bring a smile to your face and laugh along at you and with you. There is at least one catch phrase you know would come to mind whenever you would think about him and smile about it. Roberto wore many titles: husband, dad, brother, son and his most well known title, as a hard worker. He always upheld his standards with his hospitality. He always genuinely extended what he could offer. He would experience the finished job satisfaction after leaving his guests pleased. He was selfless and put others first.

Roberto was a full time fitness enthusiast and one of his favorite past times would be to lay on the couch and watch mixed martial arts matches. He enjoyed dedicating his time at the gym. It would be a rare day that you wouldn’t see him with weights in his hands. This inhibited him to give himself permission to pursue his other full time passion, eating Mexican food. He jokingly would tell his family “it’s okay, I can eat this because I worked out already” with that huge contagious smile and laugh he had. Roberto is a superhero to his daughters, a role model, an unbreakable human being. His dedication to his family, hospitality to others  and life goals were what motivated him day to day. He was a one of a kind man who will be deeply missed by many. Although he saw has left our lives physically, spiritually he will always be within our hearts.
