Roberta Joerns

Roberta "Bobbie" Irene Joerns ended her battle with cancer on November 22, 2017. Roberta was from Missouri and joined the United States Air Froce, where she met Edward. They married in 1962 and were proud of their 55 happy years together. She was also dedicated to her family, friends, neighbors and dogs. She loved celebrating every holiday, buying gifts, playing cards, gardening and learning about history. Roberta is survived by her husband Edward, sons Mark (Kathy) and Michael (Jill), Sister Rosemarie Richardson, brother Robert Richardson and 2 grandchildren Matthew and Ryan. A celebration of her life will be held at countryside Funeral Home 95 S. Gilbert St. (at State Street) South Elgin, on December 15 4:00p.m. until the time of memorial service 6:00p.m. Bobbie always gave generously to charity so please honor her memory by giving to your favorite cause in lieu of flowers.
