Roberta Dimpsey was a loving wife, amazing mother and proud grandmother. God called her home on June 23rd, 2021 at the age of 83 after a battle with long term illness. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Born to Herbert and Verna Pryce on August 5, 1937 in Schenectady, New York, Roberta graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College. In 1959, while working as a social worker, she met her husband, Robert. Together they had four children.
Roberta touched numerous lives through her commitment to family, church, and community. A past member of several Roselle organizations and a longtime parishioner of the Roselle United Methodist Church, she loved to sing. Her lovely voice could be heard in both the church choir, as well as in the semi-professional vocal group, The Variations. A well-known realtor for over 30 years, “Bobbie” was incredibly hard-working and dedicated to finding the ideal house for each client. Honesty and integrity were integral to her success.
Roberta is survived by Robert, her husband of 61 years, four children (Michael, Robert, Jeffrey and Jacqueline) and their spouses, eight grandchildren, two brothers, a sister and their extended families. A memorial service will be held at the Roselle United Methodist Church on August 7th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Roselle United Methodist Church or Amita Health Hospice.
