Robert “Bob” Welker, 88, of Carol Stream since 1979, died Sunday, August 8, 2021. Born January 6, 1933 in Chicago. Bob enjoyed collecting civil war prints, old movies and Johnny Cash. He will be missed by his family. Beloved husband of Faustina “Chris” Holeman; loving dad of Richard (Candy) Welker and Wendy (Gary) Miller; cherished grandpa of Matthew and Gregory Miller; dear son of the late Richard Sr and Frances (nee Shramrack) Welker; kind brother of the late Lorraine, Bill and Florence and caring uncle to several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visitation 3:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett. Funeral Friday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Following services, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
