Robert Edward Schweig, 77, of Hanover Park, passed away Thursday, August 8. A Navy veteran, Robert was an avid Cubs fan who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing. Beloved husband of Geralynn(nee Komoll); loving father of Daniel and Brian Schweig; proud grandfather of Corey(Brittany), Katlyne, Alexandra, and Kate Schweig; dear brother of Ann(Michael) Murphy, John(Judith) Schweig, Marilyn(the late Samuel) Novello, Rita(Dan) Habel, Sharyn(Steve) Mundt, Thomas Schweig, Steve Schweig, Debbie(Harry) Farina, and the late Victor Schweig; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Tuesday, August 13 from 1:00pm until time of service 4:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd.(at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett.
