Robert C. Scheer, 81 of Bartlett, IL passed away peacefully at home on May 6th, 2024 with his daughter Heather by his side.
Robert, fondly known as Bob, was born to the late Joseph and the late Frances Scheer on September 3, 1942 in Chicago, IL.
An Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was extremely hard working and loyal husband, father and friend. Bob loved his wife (together over 40 years, the late Toni whom passed January 2024), more than life itself. His hobbies included history, guns, knives, fishing, his Great Danes, watching FNC or WGN, drinking coffee out of his favorite Trump coffee cup, watching his daughters play volleyball, and sitting in peace while in his garage having a smoke, listening to the birds, and enjoying nature.
Those left to cherish his memory are Bobbie his Great Dane; his daughters Heather (David) Buck and Jamie (Kyle) Eickman; grandchildren Anthony Goldsmith, Noelle Goldsmith, Ariel Goldsmith, Jordyn (Adam) Lee, Joshua Dunbar, Naiomi Buck, Kenneth Eickman, and Elsie Eickman; great grandchildren Ryan and Luke; brother Tom (Randi) Scheer; sister in-law Terri Gore; brother in-law Wade (Teri) Rasmussen; nieces Tina (Tony) Davenport and Lynn (Darrin) Cook; daughter in-law Karla Pradt, and many family members. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Toni and brother Don. Graveside services 10:30am Friday, May 17, 2024 at Mount Emblem Cemetery 520 E. Grand Ave., Elmhurst.
