Robert Schaeffer

Robert George Schaeffer, 81, of Carol Stream, formerly of Hillside, died January 23, 2016. Robert was the beloved husband of Edwina for 39 years; loving father of Brian Clark, Cindi, Kimberly (Christopher) Thier, and nephew Russell McConnell who was like a son to him; proud grandfather of Christopher, Sierra, Tyler, Stephan and Nick; cherished brother of the late Glen, Audrey, Sally and Bill. Many loving nieces, nephews and faithful companion Bailey.

Robert enjoyed NASCAR auto races, and doing handyman projects at home.

Visitation Saturday, January 30, 10:00a.m. until the time of service 1:00p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett. Following services cremation will be private at Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers donations to American Heart Association www.heart.org or American Lung Association www.lung.org would be appreciated.
