Robert Raymond Perry passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday morning February 12, 2022, Robert was born on December 5, 1936 to Raymond and Violet Perry in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He moved with his family to Harvey, Illinois when he was 12 years old. He was accepted into the Air Force Academy but was bumped from going because they needed a football player. He was a member of the Air National Guard and played trombone in the band. He went to work at American Airlines where he met his wife Barbara Doubleday.  They married on July 31, 1958 and shortly afterwards moved to Bloomingdale, IL and raised a family. Robert was a long time member of St. Paul Evangelical Church (now Cornerstone Faith Community Church) and served on various boards while there. He was a part of the Lion's club, a Bloomingdale Village Clerk, a Bloomingdale police officer, and a Bloomingdale trustee. One major accomplishment while trustee was being part of the negotiation that brought Stratford Square Mall to Bloomingdale. In 1970, Robert started his own business, Robert Perry Associates, and became a successful manufacturer's representative with many awards and recognitions. He was an instructor for DHI (Door Hardware Institute) and the Army Corps of Engineers.  He last taught at the Army Corps of Engineers under President Obama. Robert was also a private pilot and flew all over the country. Even as he aged he kept active and helped the Oswego Police Department set up a program to make morning wellness calls to the elderly. He took many trips all over the world including Russia, China, and South America. He was very involved with Compassion International, World Vision. Answers in Genesis, Lamb and Lion Ministries and others. He led a very active and interesting life and will be dearly
 
 missed.
 
 Robert is survived by his son Steve (Laura) Perry: his daughters Kathy Cupples, and Sandy (Terry) Hallmann;
 
 brothers Donald (Marcia) Perry, Dennis (Melissa) Perry, and Alan Perry; a sister Jan (Robert) Lendi. He had 7
 
 grandchildren Brittny (Ken) Lindhorn, Kimberly (Michael) O'Garo, Heidi (Chad) Sells, Jessica Cupples, Cindy
 
 Senft, Anna Cupples, and James Cupples. He also had 17 grandchildren Andrew Lindhorn, Megan Lindhorn,
 
 Adeline Lindhorn, Joshua Lindhorn, Bennett Lindhorn, Michael O'Garo, Kayleigh-Ana O'Garo, Hailey Sells,
 
 Charlotte Sells, Logan Sells, Jacob Cupples, AJ Cupples, Landon Cupples, Elijah Senft, Jameson Wolski, Levi
 
 Cupples and Hudson Cupples; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife
 
 Barbara and his parents.
 
 There will be a private interment at St. Paul Evergreen Cemetery on Tuesday February 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
 
 A memorial service will be Saturday March 12, 2022 at Cornerstone Faith Community Church 118 First Street, Bloomingdale. with a visitation hour at 11 AM and service at 12 PM. A luncheon at the church will follow.
