Robert Butterfield Myers, 80, a resident of Streamwood for 50 years, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at home with family and under the compassionate care of Vitas Hospice. Visitation 12:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. with funeral 2:00p.m. and rosary at 4:30p.m., Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd(at Barrington Rd),Streamwood. Beloved husband since 1955 of the late Mary (nee Dorrington); loving father of Terri (the late Hamp) Walker, Kathy (Greg) Jaken, Peggy (Michael) Smith, Bob (Mary), Dot (the late Jack) Case, Jim, Carolyn (Steve) Semrau, Dan (Rosa) and John (Helen); cherished grandpa of 23 and great grandpa of 14; dear son of the late Franklin and Halo (nee Hayner); fond brother of Millie Dickover, Carol (Larry) Renbarger, Dot(the late Greg) Siuda and many nieces and nephews. Robert was a proud Air Force veteran and American Airlines employee for 40 years. He also worked as a courtesy driver for Biggers Chevrolet and was a member of the AMVETS Post 277, but no matter what his family always was first.
