Robert John "Bob" Maki, 69, of Itasca, an Army veteran, Purple Heart recipient of Vietnam, passed away after an almost 2 year courageous battle with cancer Sunday, September 25. He was born September 17, 1947 in Chicago. Married to Mary(nee Janusz) for 44 years; extremely proud father of Jennifer(Timothy) Wingstedt, Katherine and Robert Michael(Latricia) Maki; proud grandfather of William, Elizabeth, Victoria, Laurel, Jonathan, and one on the way; son of the late Elmer and the late Ethel(nee Olson) Maki.
