Robert J. Larson, 68, of Elgin, IL, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 14, 2015 surrounded by his family at his home.

Robert was born in Little Fork, Minnesota on December 11, 1946 to his parents, the late John Larson and Alice Swenhaugen. Robert was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the Army from 1966 to 1968. He met his beloved wife, Claudia nee Bordes while attending New Covenant Fellowship Church in Elgin where they were married on August 2, 1980. Robert and Claudia enjoyed 34 wonderful years of marriage together. Robert owned his own company, Larson’s Painting and Decorating for fifteen years before becoming the head custodial supervisor for the city of Elgin, of which he worked for fifteen years before retiring.

Robert loved to fellowship with his church family, take his kids on family vacations, and antique with his wife. He had a talent for water colors, enjoyed coming up with new inventions, and always encouraged those he was around. His sense of humor was refreshing and down to earth and his love for the Lord was evident in the way he lived his life.
