Robert Kostuk

Robert "Bob" Kostuk, 77, of Bartlett (47 years) and formerly of Bethel Park, PA and Addison; husband of nearly 53 years to Bonnie, nee Lantvit; father of Dr. Brian (Cynthia) and Joanne (Robert) Wachholder; grandfather of Madeline, McKenzie, Jason and Zachary; brother in law of Dale (Neil), John (Gail), Peter (Maria), late Ignatius "Paul" and late Mary Anne (late Vince) Giorno; uncle of many nieces and nephews and true friend to many. Bob was a mechanic for United Airlines for 37 years (1965-2002). He spent over 10 years lovingly restoring his 1970 Buick GSX to pristine condition. He was a member of the Chicagoland Chapter Buick GS Club of America. When he wasn't in his garage he worked in his backyard and his garden. He fed his birds and squirrels every day and enjoyed watching them in his free moments. Traveling, either on short trips to nature preserves and trails or out West by railroad were enjoyed together, with his wife, Bonnie. Above all else he was an active grandpa and loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by many. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Thursday, August 19th, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a small presentation at 6:30 pm at the Bartlett Hills and Country Club 800 W. Oneida Bartlett, Il. with light appetizers. In lieu of flowers, either a Mass card or donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
