Robert J. Goduto

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert J. Goduto, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Bob, as he was affectionately known, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, at the age of 76. He was born in Chicago, IL, on July 5th, 1949 and was a long-time resident of Bartlett, IL.

Bob leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter as well as his devoted wife of 57 years, Eileen Goduto nee Gnadt. He was a cherished father to Laureen (Michael) Romito, Robert T. (Melanie) Goduto, the late Tony Goduto, and Kimberly (Sean) Rausa. A proud grandfather, he embraced his role of 'Grandpa' to Angelo, Nicholas, Payton, Natalie, Madison, Joseph, Devin, and Olivia.

Bob was the dear brother of the late Leonard (Christine) Goduto, the late James Goduto, the late Patrick (Deborah) Goduto, Ann Marie (Michael) Durso, and George Goduto. He was also a cherished brother-in-law to the late Thomas (Patricia) Gnadt, Kathy (Vito) Battaglia, Terry (Fran) Gnadt, and Tim (Vicki) Gnadt and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Leonard and Angela Goduto.

A dedicated butcher, Bob especially enjoyed working recently for Josef's Elegante Meats & Deli. A true Chicagoan at heart, he was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears, and he enjoyed the occasional thrill of gambling. Known for his humor and penchant for assigning affectionate nicknames, Bob brought laughter and joy to those around him. His love for his family was evident in the way he adored his children and relished spoiling his grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home, 950 S. Bartlett Rd. Bartlett, IL 60103. Prayers will be held Friday, November 21, 2025 at 9:15 am at the Funeral Home, then we will process to St. Peter Damian, 131 S. Crest Ave. Bartlett, IL for Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Interment Bartlett Cemetery.
