Loving former husband of Laurel S. Christian, for 50 years; loving father of Sheryl (Wayne Lumpkins), and Mary (Mark Chuipek); cherished grandfather of Victoria and Blake Mueller, Jordan and Trevor Chuipek; dear brother of the late John (Audrey) and Tom (Jackie); and many loving nieces and nephews.
Bob grew up on the north side of Chicago, where he met and married the love of his life, Laurel S. Christian and then moved to Schaumburg, IL where they raised two beautiful daughters and four precious grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and a true friend.
Bob touched many hearts with his loving and kind personality. He loved to travel, roller skate and dance. He loved the sunshine, the ocean and appreciated every glorious day that God allowed him on this earth.
Bob retired from AT&T Teletype in Skokie, IL, where he worked for thirty-plus years in Marketing, Research and Development and Engineering. As a man of great intelligence, integrity, fortitude and deep faith, he was an inspiration and mentor to many, and he was loved by all.
Visitation for Robert Dennis Christian will be held Wednesday, 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 333 S. Roselle Road, (1/2 mile south of Irving Park Rd.) Roselle. Thursday lying in State 10:00 a.m. until time of service 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 202 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg, Interment St. Peter Lutheran Cemetary.
