Robert "Bob" Blinn

Robert Blinn, 72 of Schaumburg, IL passed away on February 18, 2025. Bob was born on September 1, 1952 in Chicago, IL to his parents Robert Blinn and Marie Feuerstadt. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary; loving brother of Sue (Dan) Schmitz, the late Ken Blinn and the late Tom (Ellen) Blinn and brother-in-law of Pat Hertel; cherished uncle of Patrick and Craig (Kim) and great-uncle of Zac and Emma.
Bob was an inspired singer, songwriter and filmmaker. He immersed himself in the Irish community in Chicago with song and fellowship. He was a beloved advisor at Columbia College for many years. After retirement he enjoyed giving back by volunteering at a food pantry and make a wish. His love for his late wife came through in everything he did.
A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 1640 S. Greenmeadows Blvd. Streamwood, IL 60107. A Memorial Mass will be held the following day at St. Gregory of Nyssa Parish, Church of the Holy Spirit, 1451 Bode Rd, Schaumburg IL 60194 at 10:30 am. A private inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Music Box Foundation, 6843 South Harper Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60637.
